Faith in Action 2017:
February 25th and 26th
If you have turned in your registration for this years “Faith In Action”, THANK YOU!! We need as many people as we can get, so bring a friend! Remember that each participant needs to complete a registration form. This will help us with planning. Check the front table in the foyer for printed forms or get an electronic copy of the FIA 2017 volunteer registration form see below. Each participant must also be Safe Sanctuary certified.

There are many types of projects/activities that you can help with, from cooking & sewing to carpentry and handy work, there is something for everyone! Click here for a full brochure of projects/activities. The weekend will be kicked off on Friday, February 24 with a 6:00 p.m. dinner at TUMC to energize us for the work on Saturday and Sunday, February 25 and 26. Sunday morning, February 26th, at Tomball United Methodist Church, we will have a combined Eucharist before teams begin working.

FAITH IN ACTION allows us to see the results of our hard work immediately – and it makes us more aware of how important and fulfilling it is to serve our neighbors. It makes us more appreciative when we share Christ’s love. JOIN US for a weekend of hard work, service, prayer, and community! Remember, the more hands we have, the more people we can serve. If you have any additional questions, you can also contact Vicki Gallagher, Ministry Lead for FIA, at vhgallagher@gmail.com.  For an electronic copy of the FIA 2017 volunteer registration form, please click here.  You can download, fill out and email it back to Elizabeth at the Parish Office. In order to participate, the registration process must be completed and this form is step one. There is additional paperwork that must be completed by each participant and Elizabeth will contact you with that information soon.

Participants over the age of 18 will have to be certified through the Episcopal Diocese of Texas’ Safe Guarding God’s Children program or the Methodist Safe Sanctuary program. Elizabeth, Parish Administrator, will provide more information about satisfying this requirement. If you have questions about this please see Elizabeth for additional information.

Faith in Action, April 2016:  The Rose Hill UMC Mission Team in partnership with Tomball UMC performed construction work and faith in action 1repairs to many homes for a local families in need.  Our assignment was to repair floors, build a closet, put in a back door with steps, hang three doors, lay vinyl plank flooring and build a cover for the front porch.  The family was awesome and on the second day working on their home, we learned that the husband was veteran of two tours in Iraq with the 2nd Marine Division and is a Purple Heart recipient.  We were all so blessed and honored to do the work we did for such a wonderful hard working family and then to learn it was for a veteran also, we were all so humbled.  faith in action 2faith in action 12                faith in action 3
