Men’s Ministry

Vision

photo_10777532_father-and-son-fishing-on-the-lakeThe ministry of men here at Rose Hill UMC is defined as group of men here in our church, partnering with our pastor, to invite and initiate spiritual growth opportunities for all men of the church. Everyone has different gifts, graces and areas of interest. Therefore, opportunities for participation would include diverse ministries of the church, such as prayer groups, missions, Bible studies, retreats, workshops/seminars, small groups in the Wesleyan tradition, leading and participating on committees, teaching Sunday school classes, youth ministries, scouting, mentoring and assisting in leading worship service. The focus is not inward, concentrating only on those who attend a set meeting, but outward to all men, assisting them to engage the process of spiritual growth.

Mission

Our mission is to support spiritual growth among men, helping men to mature as disciples as they encourage spiritual formation in each other with the goal of empowering the ministry of Jesus Christ through men within our congregation..

Rose Hill UMC Mens Group

Here at Rose Hill United Methodist Church the UMM group meets formally once a month for breakfast on the 3rd Saturday of the month at 7:30am. We begin with a short prayer, breakfast, a short business meeting, and then a program or activity. We have had several guest speakers in the past, gone and done work on a person’s home, and church wide clean up days are just a few examples of the things we do for our church and surrounding community. All men who are members of RHUMC or friends of RHUMC are welcome to attend each month at our regularly scheduled meeting. We usually have between 15 – 25 men attend our meetings each month. We also have different groups of men meet and do different things informally as well from social gatherings in the community to helping others in the surrounding community.

Friday Mens Fellowship

Rose Hill UMC Mens Fellowship meets each Friday morning from 6am until 7am for a bible study and lively discussions on any number of topics. The kolaches and donuts are always fresh and the coffee is hot. So please join us each Friday morning throughout the year and what a blessing it will be! See ya there!
